How to create, save and print your report options

A PROMODAG report options file is a text file containing options for a report. Report options files contain a whole set of options for a given report (date, server, sorting order...). By default, those files are saved under the %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Documents\Promodag\Reports\9\ folder (or %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Documents\Promodag\Reports\9\ for operating systems prior to Windows Vista). The extension of report option files is *.pro.

Report options files have two main purposes :
  • Save a typical configuration for a frequently used report (that can be distributed to others users);
  • Save a report configuration to automate reports.
To create and save a report options file, you must select a report template from the Templates menu, select the configuration options you want for the report, and then click the Save button on the template configuration screen.

Favorites reports

The ability to save your own reports option files and to manage your own Favorites menu gives you the possibility to configure your favorite reports. Your reports are available in one single click!

Printing selected options

Follow these steps to print the options you selected:

   1. Click the Save button of the report;
   2. Click the Detail button to display the content of the .pro file;
   3. Click the Print button.
